Pacific Oyster Volunteer

FMC run one of the Cornwall teams carrying out surveying and monitoring in our patch - the Fal Estuary

Join regular team sessions to identify the invasive species - Pacific Oysters

Survey and monitor the Pacifics population, it's impact on marine biodiversity, safety, leisure and the natural oyster fisheries
-
To be (relatively) fit - Clambering round the inter-tidal shoreline

Enjoy being out on the shoreline making a difference as a citizen scientist!
Seaquest Volunteer

Assist in running monthly Seaquest (first Sunday of every month at Pendennis Point 11:00-13:00).

Have a passion for the marine environment, especially marine mammals

Have the patience to observe for two hours at Pendennis and talk to volunteers and passers-by about the local marine life we have in Cornwall
Education and Outreach Volunteer

Role may change due to current circumstances.

Help attend school session

Create new exciting content to engage children with the marine environment.

Work with school children at school or cubs and Brownie groups.

Be energetic and happy to talk in front of groups of school children under 15

Help out on outdoor educational activity days in the summer months
