Volunteer Committee Roles

Do you have extra time to spare? We are searching for people who can take on more time demanding roles. Please get in touch if you are interested.   

Events Coordinator

  • Have a passion for marine mammals

  • Want to improve your marine ID skills

  • Love talking to other people about marine life

  • Able to promote FMC at conferences and large events

Media/Newsletter Coordinator

  • Previous experience with MailChimp would be an advantage but not essential

  • Collect news stories from other Coordinators about their projects

  • Email  members and attendees about upcoming events

  • Compile a quarterly membership newsletter

Education and Outreach Coordinator

  • Deliver engaging educational sessions on ‘Marine Plastic’, ‘Overfishing’ and ‘Cornish Wildlife’

  • Contact schools and after school groups to arrange and develop engaging sessions and events

  • Coordinate our team of 60+ amazing volunteers through our Facebook page

  •  Work towards online talks, educational youtube videos and outdoor activity days such as rock pool rambles, beach clean/scavenger hunts and snorkeling sessions in the summer months
